Texas is sometimes given more than four seasons. One extra season is called “fake fall” or “false fall” or “faux fall,” sometimes called “fauxl.”

The weather is shifting here in West Texas to our “actual” Fall (faux Fall is in September). And we’re still in the swing of it, so it’s 30° in the morning and 70–80° in the afternoons. The sustained temperature change wrecks absolute havoc on my pain management. 2/

We have FAUXL.
It’s like FALL, but with 95 degree temps and leaves only change colors because they are dehydrated!
