The Brazilian Film Festival of New York became an official event of New York City. This achievement sums up the potential and quality of the event, which earned the attention of the U.S. Government as well as the media and professionals from the U.S. and Brazilian movie industry.
The BRAFF of New York main objective is to initiate cultural exchange and to strengthen the creation of new audiences, offering wider visibility for the Brazilian culture in the United States. For the fourth edition of the event in NY, we expect to fortify the image of Brazil in one of the world’s greatest centers of the arts, culture and business.

The 4th Brazilian Film Festival of New York will be screening the best Brazilian productions released in 2005/2006. All the movies are US or New York Premieres and will compete for the Crystal Lens Awards - Best Public Choice.

Closing Night and Special Tribute

At the Closing Night, the Festival will be screening one film and will be presenting the winner of the Crystal Lens Awards, followed by a cocktail.
